This is the day that the students depart. The bus is waiting at a prearranged meeting point. Half hour is the time given to place the luggage of the students in the bus and then say goodbye to their family. The journey is about to begin!

Halfway in the afternoon, the students arrive in Figueres. This is a village situated just two hours before Barcelona. This village began its reconstruction after heavy bombing in 1955. The main attraction is the Dalí Museum, where the first cultural visit of the students will take place. When we have enough time, there are several other activities in the village. Then the students leave for the meeting point in Barcelona Vacarisses where they are assigned to their host families. The local representative will receive here. Dinner is at everyone's host family.

We start the day with a Guided bus tour along the highlights of the buildings of Gaudi. Since the influences of Gaudi can be found throughout the city, it would take more than a day to visit it all on foot. Then we make an excursion to Park Güell. This park contains many of the most famous buildings of Gaudi, rich in bizarre shapes, colors and great views over the city. After we have lunch in the park, we leave for the most iconic landmark of Barcelona, the Sagrada Familia. Here we take a guided tour with an audio guide. At the end of the day we will take the families back to the venue and supper will be with everyone's hostfamily.

In the morning we leave for the stadium of FC Barcelona, Camp Nou. Football fanatic or not, everyone is always very impressed by the tour of this impressive building. Then we have lunch on the Mirador Montjuïc, which offers breathtaking views. Then we go to the famous Boqueria seated next to the Las Ramblas and the students get the rest of the afternoon off to go shopping in the center.

The day starts with a visit to the very imposing and mysterious mountain village Montserrat. An additional camera roll is a definite recommendation here. It also contains a very impressive monastery which is completely free to visit. After this visit we visit the theme park Pueblo Español where Spanish architecture, crafts and much more typically Spanish use is shown. We continue our day with a workshop paella, which will be the supper of the students. After this we visit a fearless show in the evening Castellers, or human towers.

On this last day in Spain we explore Barcelona on a bike. The guide of the bike ride sends the students along several highlights in the city. Of course, we seek out a beautiful location after this exhausting bike ride to have lunch, after which the bus is waiting to start the journey back home.

In the morning the students come back to the meeting point at home.
