This is the day that the students depart. There's a bus waiting at an agreed meeting point. With another half hour, the time is given to place the luggage of the students in the bus and then say goodbye. We leave for the airport at a later specified time. This depends on the flight. After an approximately three-hour flight we will arrive at the airport of Madrid where a bus is waiting to take you to the venue. Here you will be received by our local representative and the students divided with their host families.

We start the day with a tour through the stadium of Real Madrid, the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. Football fanatic or not, everyone is always very impressed by the tour of this impressive construction. Then we go to the Royal Palace of Madrid, where we will have lunch with a stunning view from the fountain at the entrance before we go visit the palace. Here we follow a guided tour. In the afternoon we walk along Calle Mayor to the iconic square, Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol and the students get free time for shopping. At the end of the day we will take the students back to the venue and they will have supper with their host families.

In the morning we will leave for Toledo, a typical Spanish town, an hour's drive from Madrid, rich in culture and history. We will be dropped off in front of the Alcazar, where shortly after arrival we will have our first visit. Then we will stroll around the Alcazar for a nice place to have lunch. After a short walk we will arrive to the El Transito Synagogue and the Sefardi Museum. After this visit, the students will be able to discover Toledo. At the beginning of the evening, the bus departs from the center of Madrid and students are to be hand over to their host families.

The day starts with a visit to the very unique train station Atocha with its impressive courtyards and numerous coffee bars. Shortly after we begin our visit to the Reina Sofia Museum. Afterwards we will discover the largest park in the city, Parque de El Retiro. Within this dynamic park we visit various attractions, such as El Palacio de Cristal and El Palacio de Velazquez. After this, the pupils also have some free time to go on your own exploration. In the evening the culinary skills of the students are put to the test with a paella workshop. This will be the last night with the host families.

On this last day in Spain we will explore Madrid by bike. During the bike tour we will pass several highlights in the city. After the bike ride we will find a nice place to have lunch, Museo del Jamon would be a good lunch option. After this, the bus will be ready to start the journey back home. Depending on the return flight, we can organize this day. Well before departure by airplane students are dropped off in front of the airport. After the approximately three-hour flight, there will be a bus waiting in front of the airport ready to bring everyone safely to the assembly point.
