PICASSO MUSEUM
The inhabitants of Málaga are very proud of the fact that Picasso was born here. Undeniably, it was a great day when the King and Queen of Spain opened the Museo Picasso on 27 October 2003. On the first day the museum nearly had 2,000 visitors. It is situated in the heart of the historical centre of the city, with the Alcazaba fortress in the background and the Gibralfaro Castle nearby. To the importance of the works of the great artist, this beautiful old building has been carefully restored.
SEVERAL MUSEUMS
Whether you’re interested in wine, archeology, cars, glass, contemporary art or 19th century painting, you will certainly find at least one museum in the city that knows how to arouse your interest. Most visitors go to the Málaga Picasso museum and his house. However, the city has so much more to offer. As the wine museum, where you can learn about the own wines of Málaga, the Automobile Museum, with a surprising fashion section for the non-car-fans, and the glass and Crystal Museum, which also antique furniture and paintings, all organized by epoch.

Muelle Uno
Muelle Uno is not your average Mall. The open-air shopping center on the waterfront offers an impressive range of shops. Different dining options to the sea with a beautiful view.
La Alcazaba
La Alcazaba is the most important milestone of Málaga. It offers views of the city from a hill in the Interior. It is one of the two Moorish fortresses in the city, the other is the Castillo de Gibralfaro above. La Alcazaba is the best preserved Moorish fortress/Palace in Spain.
Cathedral
The Interior of the Cathedral has influences of the Renaissance and Baroque styles. It was built between 1528 and 1782 near the site of a former mosque. While the original plans had allowed for two towers, due to lack of funds led to the completion of only one, as a result, the name under which the Cathedral is affectionately called: La Manquita, “an armed woman”.
Pompidou Centre
Opened on March 28, 2014 is the pop-up Pompidou housed in El Cubo, a cube-shaped glass structure in Malaga port and buildings next to it. Works in the collection of the Centre will include 20th century masterpieces. The Pompidou Málaga will be the example of the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, with works from 1905 to the present day, and is the only branch of the museum outside France.
Castillo de Gibralfaro
This beautiful 10th-century castle is located on a high hill overlooking Málaga city and port. You can see the Castle from a distance. The castle is famous for its three-month siege by the Catholic monarchs, Ferdinand and Isabella, which was only ended when the hunger forced the Malaguenos to surrender.
Casa Natal
The “Casa Natal”, either the birthplace of the world famous artist Pablo Ruiz Picasso, is an official heritage site since 1983. It is located in the Plaza de la Merced, in the heart of the historic centre of Málaga. The area is surrounded by monuments from the rich past of Málaga.
Plaza de la Merced
This square is considered one of the best squares in Málaga. Also a popular meeting point in the evening and the various events that take place here from time to time. On the north side a number of terraces with orientation on the Sun and on the northern corner is the House where Picasso was born what is now a museum.
El Parque
The Málaga city park which is next to the “Paseo del Parque” runs, was made at the end of the 19th century of land reclaimed from the sea. The park has beautiful tropical flowering trees and shrubs. Many of the special and exotic species were brought from overseas, including Cuba, when Málaga was an important world trade centre.

The Sea Life Aquarium of Malaga has all kinds of marine life, with a variety of species. There are 2000 sea creatures. You can sea horses, reef sharks, rays, green turtles, Angelfish, clown fish, starfish and much more up close view.
