LA CUIDAD DE LAS ARTES Y LAS CIENCAS
Literally translated “the city of Arts and Sciences”. This complex consists of five buildings: Hemisferic is an IMAX cinema, the Museo de las Ciencias is a science museum, Oceanographic is a gigantic marine park or aquarium, the Palau de les Arts is an opera house and the Agora is a multifunctional space.
Palau de les Arts
The opera house is simply a spectacular building. With an expansion of 55,000 square meters will the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia one of the most beautiful international venues for theatre, dance, opera and music concerts.
Hemisferic
This is a wonderful Planetarium and IMAX cinema with more than 900 square meters screen. The eye-shaped building can be opened and closed with the help of her “eyelids”.
Museo de las Ciences Principe Felipe
The building is designed in the shape of a whale skeleton. In this museum is “forbidden to touch” does not apply. It is aimed at learning the sciences by experience, so everything is displayed graphically with large text, buttons, photos and experiments.
Agora

THE PORT AND BEACH
The Maritime Station of Valencia is one of the most modern stations in Spain. Each year more than 500,000 people pass through the Passenger Terminal. Golondrinas (pleasure boats) offer daily tours in this beautiful inner harbor. In and around the harbour are several points of interest, also the maritime museum and the Royal shipyards.
The coast of the city consists of three Mediterranean beaches: la Malvarrosa and Las Arenas, Alboraya decorated with a range of facilities. Just next to them is the Paseo Marítimo, which has become one of the most popular recreation areas. Here you can enjoy one of the restaurants for a delicious paella or a fresh fish stew. Do you prefer more natural beaches, just 10 km from Valencia are spectacular dune-lined beaches with grassy plains.
WINERY
Spain has traditionally been one of the most important wine-producing countries in the world. What the wineries in Spain so interesting, is the rich history and passion for the profession. Learn all about the production process and see with their own eyes how the wine from grape to drops is manufactured. And after the visit to the winery it is of course possible to the manufactured product.
FLAMENCO SHOW
No dance is more typical than the Spanish Flamenco. Enjoy this enchanting whole traditionally executed show while enjoying a snack and a drink. In the meantime you will learn the various rhythms and claps everyone with it. Continue to stretch out and enjoy the dancers either, for the daredevils, one should at the end also, have a dance. Mercado Central
This masterpiece of modernist architecture in Valencia is inaugurated in 1928. It covers an area of more than 8000 m2. Only upon entry you can really taste the atmosphere of the market. Here you will be embraced by all the scents and colors of this space. At the more than 1000 outlets include for fresh fish, meat, vegetables, fruit and more.
Saint Mary of Valencia Cathedral
The Cathedral of Valencia (Metropolitan Basilica Cathedral), commonly known as the “Seu”, was consecrated in 1238. It was built on the mosque in the place of the former Visigothic Cathedral and is known for its clock tower “El Miguelete”. Gothic architecture is the predominant style of this Cathedral, but it also includes the Romanesque, Renaissance art, Baroque and neoclassical elements. Adjoining the beautiful square, “Plaza de la Virgin”, with its many attractions and rich atmosphere.
Torres de Serranos
The Serranos Towers are considered to be the largest Gothic gate in Europe. They were built at the end of the 14th century as part of enrichment of the city. From the terraces you can enjoy beautiful views of the city and the Turia River.
The San Juan Hospital Church
San Juan del Hospital is one of the oldest churches in Valencia and was built in the year 1261. Once inside you can visit the beautiful chapel of Santa Barbara and other chapels. Whose wall paintings from the Gothic period recently discovered.
Museo de Bellas Artes San Pio V
Located in a Baroque building which recently completely renovated, the Museum of fine arts San Pio V is one of the most remarkable painting archives in Spain. The Gallery consists mainly of work by Valencian artists. Also an interesting collection of contemporary art, along with valuable archaeological remains.
Museo Nacional de Ceramica Gonzalez Marti
The national ceramic museum Gonzalez Marti is housed in a palace that dates back to the 15th century and was renovated in 1740 on the rococo style with a beautiful Alabaster entrance. Inside you can the 18th-century carriages, the 19th century rooms, medieval ceramics and an important collection of tiles in the Royal ceramics factory in Alcora.
Museo de San Miguel de los Reyes
The building, which today is occupied by the Biblioteca Valenciana, is the result of construction works which are carried out in different periods: a Muslim farm in the 11th century, a Cistercian Monastery in the 14th century, a Hieronymite monastery in the 16th century and a prison in the 19th century.
Bioparc Zoo
Bioparc is the new area for wildlife-animals of the city of Valencia, which is located in the park called Parque de Cabecera. A recreation of the Savannah, with a wide range of several animals. Of Buffalo to crocodiles, Lions to gorillas. When entering the park, which covers more than 100,000 m2, the visitor feels completely immersed in the spectacular landscapes in which different types of coexistence as they would in nature.
TAPAS/PAELLA WORKSHOP

The Rumba dance has its origin in Africa and it portrays the man in an aggressive manner, while the woman a defensive position. The name Rumba is Spanish and literally means “Party”. TILE WORKSHOP
Everywhere in Spain you see the typical tiles. Concentrated in Andalusia the buildings are tiled with the history of the Arab in combination with the Catholic periods. Each building has its stories due to the ceramics in and around. With this workshop, you will have the opportunity to own a piece of history. Create a tile in the traditional way. Learn some history and learn to appreciate the city and its buildings more afterwards.
BICYCLE TOUR
Don’t think your only options for transport in Valencia by a crowded tour bus, an expensive private tour or even public transport. With the bicycle rental in Valencia you can admire the sights at your own pace. Or opt for a guided tour through the highlights of the city.
TERRA MITICA
Terra mitica is a theme park located in Benidorm, Costa Blanca. The park is divided into 5 themed zones: Egypt, Greece, Rome, the Iberian Peninsula and the Islands. When Paramount bought most of the shares in 2000 of the park, the park got the name Paramount Parks Terra Mítica. In 2004, Paramount Parks decided to sell the shares. The region of Valencia took the park.
